This is a orginal Japanese (Good Luck) Flag “武運長久” (Buunchoukyuu), a traditional Japanese banner wishing for continued military fortune and safety in battle. This particular Japanese (Good Luck) flag was sent by Matsuzaka Hiromasa (1884–1960), a prominent Japanese judicial bureaucrat and politician who served as Prosecutor General and Minister of Justice during World War II.
